working, that´s for sure. i also bought myself a netbook, very happy with it. organized a bit more my life, pushing it harder, better, faster. the Takó Sushi campaign seems to be going very well, we triplicated the number of visits to their web page, the place is working very well, people going to enjoy their prices, dining out, when i´m there i ask them and they say their happy with it, i took a couple of pictures of them last night.
all happy is a good state, makes me happy too. i´m already working on the next action :).  lot´s of projects floating around, the TWITTNITES are coming back on the 6th, so´s Twestival in september and i may be travelling to the states on january for a digicourse or something, in august we´re presenting a video art instalation at a local cultural center con María Lange, so that´s cool too. i´m also working on a health clinics digital comms, a purse company, some turism copywriting, participating on a municipal creative council, oh and i´m working on my site, which i´m drawing by hand btw. i´m training for a soccer tournament, doing the digital posgraduate program, building some new structures with twitter friends and looking forward to an exciting future, i just want to do fun but meaningful stuff. to end this rant, i like this Tweet you Senator. oh, and this band with this tune, loved it.

trabajando, eso seguro. también me compre una netbook, muy contento con ella. organicé un poco más mi vida, empujando más fuerte, mejor, más rápido. la campaña de Takó Sushi parece estar funcionando muy bien, triplicamos la cantidad de visitas a su página, el lugar está trabajando muy bien, la gente está yendo a disfrutar sus premios, saliendo a comer, cuando estoy ahí les pregunto y me cuentan que están contentos con ella, les saqué un par de fotos anoche. todos contentos es un buen estado en el que estar, me poné contento a mi también. ya estoy trabajando en la próxima acción :). hay mucho proyectos dando vueltas, las TWITTNITES vuelven el 6, tasmbién Twestival en septiembre y quizás esté viajando a EEUU en enero a hacer algún curso digital o algo, en agosto vamos a estar presentando unos videos en una instalación artística en el Centro Cultural Parque España con María Lange así que eso está bueno también. también estoy trabajando en la comunicación digital de un sanatorio, una empresa de carteras, un poco de redacción para turismo, participando en un concejo creativo para la municipalidad, ah y estoy trabajando en mi sitio propio, que lo estoy dibujando a mano btw. estoy entrenando para un torneo de fútbol, haciendo el posgrado de comunicación digital, armando algunas estructuras nuevas con amigos twitteros y con ganas de encarar un futuro excitante, sólo quiero hacer cosas divertidas pero significativas. y para terminar el palabrerío, me gustó esto de Tweet your Senator. y esta banda con este tema, encantador.

life is about change. and this is what this post is about. i´ve always changed, i lived all over the world, all over my city, worked, rocked and played everywhere. it´s not only that i get bored easily, i´m curious about everything. but this time, i´m worried. i´ve been putting a lot of energy into my playfullness (?). but work is what i most care about these days. there is playfulness (?) in what i do, but these are defining moments. i´m alone. i work with a lot of great guys, but in the end it´s my head. so, i have to take care of it. i´m going back into my cave, retreating from the light. i won´t be the life of the party anymore folks. getting my head back on track. fullthrottlethinkingupnewshit. and when i´m done, i´m going to make it all happen.

la vida se trata del cambio. y de eso se trata este post. siempre cambié, viví en todo el mundo, en toda la ciudad, trabajé, rockeé y jugué en todos lados. no es sólo que me aburro facilmente, soy curioso por todo. pero esta vez, estoy preocupado. le estuve poniendo demasiadas energías a mi juguetón (?). pero el trabajo es lo que más me importa estos días. hay juguetón (?) en lo que hago, pero estos son momentos definidores. estoy solo. trabajo con grandes personas, pero al final es mi cabeza. por eso la tengo que cuidar. voy a volver a mi cueva, alejarme de la luz. no voy a ser más el centro de la fiesta amigos. mi cabeza vuelve a encarrilarse. afondopensandocosasnuevas. y cuando termine, voy a hacer que todo ocurra.

we got together with the postgraduate program study group to do some work and i found out what Matías Manna´s (technical secretary, friend and member of the group) blog was about: Pep Guardiola (Barcelona´s DT).


the surprising bit is that he´s had the blog since ´06, before all the fuzz. and that´s not all, he even has the guy backing his blog up with an audio message he got from an interview a long time ago.

now, he´s getting thousands and thousands of visits a day. major newspapers posted his blog on their sites. and he has a growing and active community helping him gather material to keep it going.

"In Guardiola Paradigm there´s no time for celebration. Until Thursday we will gather all the posible information about Manchester. On Friday we will deliver everything to the one and only Josep Guardiola via email" - Matías Manna, on Crutial Game Information Gathering Participatory Blog Campaign (this is my definition).

Matías isn´t from Spain. he´s just a fan, but his visitors are, mostly. but that´s irrelevant isn´t it? because all that matters is the passion he put into what he writes and people seem to recognize that. it´s how it all works in the cloud, no?

and now, a big pay off for him and his passionate hobby. double the pleasure and recognition.

we talked some about improving it a bit, giving the users tools to become more a part of the content production process. you know, THE words came up: fidelity. community. monetization. participation. bla. bla.bla 

what the hell, it´s your passion, recognized. it´s your hope, recognized. you can´t miss that in the cloud. too much rubbish floating around to miss it.

grata sorpresa hoy.

nos juntamos con el grupo del postrado a hacer un trabajo y descubrí de qué se trataba el blog de Matías Manna (secretario técnico, amigo y miembro del grupo): Pep Guardiola (DT de Barcelona)



lo sorprendente es que tiene el blog desde el ´06, antes de todo el quilombo. y eso no es todo, hasta tiene al tipo bancando al blog en un mensaje de audio que obtuvo de una entrevista de hace tiempo atrás.

ahora, está teniendo miles y miles de vistas cada día. los grandes diarios postearon su blog en sus sitios. y hasta tiene una creciente y activa comunidad ayudándolo a recoger material para mantenerlo.

"En Paradigma Guardiola no hay tiempos para festejos. Hasta el jueves vamos a recopilar toda la información posible sobre el Manchester. El día viernes le entregaremos toda lo acumulado al propio Josep Guardiola mediante correo electrónico". - Matías Manna, en la Campaña de Blog Participativa para Recopilar Información Crucial para el Partido (esta es mi definición).

Matías no es Español. es sólo un fan, pero sus visitantes, en su mayoría, sí lo son. pero es irrelevante, ¿o no? porque todo lo que importa es la pasión que le pone a lo que escribe y la gente parece reconocer eso. así es como todo funciona en la nube, ¿no?

y ahora, le garpa a él y a su hobby apasionante a lo grande. doble el placer y el reconocimiento.

hablamos un poco de cómo mejorarlo, dándoles a los usuarios más herramientas para formar parte del proceso de producción. sabés, LAS palabras que surgieron: fidelidad. comunidad. monetización. participación. bla. bla. bla.

al carajo, es tu pasión, reconocida. es tu esperanza, reconocida. no podés perderte eso en la nube. demasiada basura flotando como para perderlo.

interesting. today we went over things i rarely think critically about. the stuff you take for granted but are as important as all the 2.0, community, social media bla bla in the cloud. the basic stuff, like hypertext, links, comments. and on other levels, the role of the author, the reader, new journalism and editorial structures.

the things i do everyday (not so much journalism, but creative writing/editing etc.), from new perspectives or at least theoretical ones.

i remember the first thing they asked me at the program was about my expectations and i kinda explained what they were vaguely. well now, after a few classes, i´m pretty sure i know what they/it are/is.

i hope to re discover.

i´m participating in a group.

and thinking 

hi guys. i was thinking about the project and how i could put
something in. i thought about becoming a victim but i was thinking,
maybe we could use tumblr to create a device to help the story on a
simbolic, metaphorical level, maybe even with a bit of sarcasm or just
build on the context, like let´s say weather reports.

the idea basically is to use a tumblr to help with the narrrative on
another level, to give the fiction other points of view, to give the
reader the chance to find other meanings in the story we´re telling or
as i said before, just build on the context.

basically it´s a part of the story that can tell other parts or views
of the story with in the story. for example: as the psycho is having
his thoughts, there´s something in correlation with that happeing in
the context tumblr, maybe it´s a weather channel, a "storm is coming"
or maybe it´s a news story about a "burning building".

i hope i explained myself correctly. if not, i´ll make a victim. just
an idea i´m putting out there to debate.

i was thinking "what" it could actually be, but then i thought maybe it
´s a bunch of stuff.

some serve as "context builders" like the "weather tumblr" and the
"news twitter". another context builder could be the "neighbors blog",
  in factit can be two blogs, his and hers. maybe, at some point, Psycho
kills him for her.

about the Metafiction, i was thinking about making something more out
there, like a puppet tumblr. it´s a an evil little puppet, a bit
gremlish, that in it´s own metaphorical way, represents Psycho´s
thought and schemings.

 let´s see what happens.

easter was sunny.

had some troubles with a locksmith thing but apart from that it was great. i had time to think and decided to dedicate every hour of the day to Cairo\Medina. i´ve been disappointed with agency work lately. that´s why i´m cutting back on everything. no more good living, just the basics. bread, water and ideas. crisis mode, my own mode. for change, to do something different. luckily, with the people we´re working for now, it´s all good. but we need more like them, and that´s where i´m going to put all my hours into, meeting people, thinking up ideas, building something fresh.

i´m diving in, don´t care if the pool is full.

these are the things i find on the net. the things i listen to. like. think about. wonder. these are the thing i find interesting on the net. some are real, some plain stupid. i don´t live here, although sometimes i wish i did. real life is on the streets, real inspiration. but there are things i dream about and fear, long for, even get sick of. fantasy, true conversations. maybe you should get away, disconnect, i hear. why, these are the things i just don´t find on the weekends or some days in the week. and then i´m in and i need to have it all. the beautiful things i find on the net.

how much is that tree in front of the kiosk getting paid to get plastered?  the kiosk owner doesn´t care and.it´s just plain wrong,
